Who Are We?

About the Landlocked Lovebirds

Hello!  We’re Darren and Stephanie, and we’ve been devoting our lives to traveling the world since our wedding in 2013.  Together we’ve seen over 20 countries in just five years.  We love to experience the food, culture, people, and sights that the world has to offer, so we spend every free minute scheming how to see another new place.  While we would love to hang up our day job hats and travel full-time, that hasn’t been in the cards for us just yet.  In the meantime, we try to take at least one international trip each year (two if we can swing it).  Thanks so much for following along on our adventures.  We hope that the videos, blogs, and resources found here inspire you to get out and see as much of this planet as you possibly can.

Numbers Guy, Travel Hacker

Darren started traveling in college, getting his taste for travel with a poorly planned spring break trip to Cancun.  Since then, he’s become obsessed with seeing more and more of the world.  His background in accounting has led him to find creative ways to travel on a budget, including finding ways to quickly build airline miles.

Stephanie

Destination Researcher, Itinerary Planner

Stephanie has been cruising and traveling the world with her family since she was young.  When it comes to getting your money’s worth out of a destination, Stephanie is a pro.  She spends countless hours researching guidebooks, blogs, vlogs, travel shows, etc., making sure that every minute on the ground is well spent.

Where Have We Traveled?

We try to take at least one trip abroad each year, two if we can swing it.  Our list of destinations continues to grow, but we have a ton of ground left to cover.  Check out the map below to see a few of the places that we’ve landed.
